The Course in Caregiving is designed to equip learners with the required competencies to improve service quality in a domestic household or institutional environment in Singapore or Overseas.
Course Curriculum: 11 Modules - Interpersonal Communications | Health Care and Professional Relationships | Medical Terminology | Safety, Mobility and Restorative Care | Child Growth & Development | Adolescent Development | Home Management (Nutrition and Personal Hygiene) | Meeting the Client's Special Needs | Dementia | Common Psychiatric Disorders | Strategies for Success
Course Duration: Sundays Part Time 6 hours a week over 12 months 10am - 4pm
Course Fee: S$2400 payable by 12 monthly installments of $200 each. Application Fees $20. Uniform $30
Eligibility Criteria: 3 GCE "O" level passes or equivalent e.g. Philippines High School Diploma.
Registration/ Application requirements: Original and Photo copy of Work Pass; Highest Educational level Transcripts, 2 Passport size photos
The above course would be suitable for:
(1) WP holders who wish to upgrade to an SPass
(2) Foreign Domestic Workers who wants switch career to work as Nursing Aides or Health Assistants in Elderly Care Nursing institutions would find this course very useful in upgrading their skills and knowledge .
(3) As this Course carries 32 Credit units those who wish to apply to work in Canada would benefit as a Graduand of the Caregiving Course.
