Virginia International University is accredited by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) a national accrediting agency recognised by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education (CHEA)
VIU is certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and approved by SCHEV to grant degrees, diplomas, and certificates at the bachelor's and master's levels of academic study. The university is authorised by the United States Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) to enroll non-immigrant students. It is a member of the American Council on Education (ACE). VIU is a member of the Northern Virginia Technology council (NVTC).VIU is an Oracle Workforce Development partner.
VIU is a private non-profit coeducational university in Fairfax Virginia, in the suburbs of Washington D.C. The university was established in 1998. International students from over 50 countries form more than 90% of VIU student population. Student enrollment per semester is under 1000. The student/faculty ratio is 13:1
VIU 4 Year undergraduate degrees include:
* Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in International Finance, or International Business or Marketing
* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Tuition full-time US$4725 per semester for MBA, MCS, MIS (subject to viu confirmation)
VIU 2 Year graduate degree include:
* Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business, or Marketing Management, or International
Finance, or Health Care Administration, or Global Logistics. Generally completed in 4 semesters
* Master of Science in Information Systems (MIS)
Tuition Full-time US$5022 per semester for BBA, BCS (subject to viu confirmation)

* IT Specialist. Generally completed in 2 semesters
* Oracle Database Administrator and Developer
