A foreigner who wishes to pursue full-time studies in Singapore is required to apply for a Student’s Pass (STP). From 1 Nov 2002, foreigners applying to study undergraduate / postgraduate degree courses registered with the Ministry of Education in private schools in Singapore will be issued with one year's Student Pass instead of the usual six-monthly STPs. If the students maintain a good record, upon renewal, the STP will be extended to be valid for the remaining course duration and Security Deposit is no longer required for Degree Courses and Applicants for degree courses from the People’s Republic of China will be allowed to submit their applications directly in Singapore, instead of submitting them in China (except UOL Ext degree courses which must still be submitted via Beijing SHC). Bangladeshi nationals whose STP applications to study in private colleges are approved on or after 01/02/2006 will need to apply for an entry visa separately at the Singapore High Commission in Dhaka prior to their arrival in Singapore

Students to sign at those places marked " Signature of Applicant" on page 2 of the Forms 16 and Form V36 . Complete 1 set of Form 16 and Form V36 as best as you can and sign them. Sign an extra set of Form 16, Form V36 without completing any details so that we can correct any mistakes or make any amendments to the Forms if necessary.

1. Documents not in English must be translated into English and
notarised / attested
2. Highest educational certificates & result slip transcripts
3. 2 recent colour passport sized photographs
4. Personal particulars page of applicant's passport
5. Documentary proof financial ability in the form of bank
statements / fixed time deposits / savings account belonging to
parents, siblings or applicant of about S$10,000 (RBM 150,000 or
more for PRC students) and affidavit to show applicant have their
financial support to study in Singapore
6. Proof of monthly earnings from employment or business e.g.
employer's letters, salary slips or income tax statements of parents
or siblings if they are giving financial support to applicant
7. Proof of applicant's working experience if any mentioning
position, salary and period of employment
8. Birth certificate of applicant showing name of parents + parents
marriage cert
9. Birth certificate of siblings if siblings providing financial
support
Note: After Student's Pass is approved in principle Students must bring their original documents that have been submitted at the time of application for ICA's verification. The processing time for Student Pass application is about 3-4 weeks and for school to school transfer students about 7-10 days.

What are the costs of applying for a STP & to study in a Private College in Singapore?
a. Registration
cum Student Pass application / processing fee S$200 - S$300 non refundable
(about 4 weeks to know
result of application) If rejected you can appeal through the
School.
b. S$100 social visit pass sponsorship fee for students already in
Singapore - non refundable
c. Certificate course of 12 months would cost S$250 a month (for
those age 15 & above) ; Diploma course of 18 months would cost
S$280 a month (for those with O level) ; Advanced Diploma in
Computer Studies of 18 months would cost S$375 a month; Degree course of 3 years
would cost S$384 a month (for those with A level ) Fees are payable
upfront 6 month at a time. 12 months CTHCM
Diploma in Hotel Management courses costs about S$3000 in
tuition fees (wef 1/7/07 the fee would be S$4000 for 12 months.
d. S$750 security bond fee for students from PRC, India, Bangladesh,
Burma (+S$20 extra if VISA is required for entry into Singapore). S$550 security bond fee for students from other
countries for 2 years . Multiple entry Visa & Student Pass card
fee is S$60 per issue. The SB will be produced to ICA at the time of
STP issuance after applicant's arrival in Singapore.
e. For transfer from another school the transfer fee is S$200
(processing time about 7 days & students must have at least 90 %
attendance record in present school)
We can take in foreign students directly, through referrals, or company sponsorship/scholarship or via foreign student recruitment agents. If you have a friend, colleague, relative or associate whom you think would be interested in coming to Singapore to study under a Student Pass please feel free to contact us. Generally a private college student would be required to study at least 3 hours a day from Mondays through Fridays and she/he would be free to do their own study or research at their own time. We offer convenient hostel stay for foreign students at about S$180 - S$200 per person (aircon room shared with other students) A private student would need about S$800 a month to support his/her stay & study in Singapore. Certificate/Diploma students gets 6 months student pass and Degree course students gets 12 months student pass
