The vocational courses you study at Lloyds
International College in NSW, Australia, in Business and Information Technology,

How to Apply Complete the application
form to us by email, airmail or fax with certified copies of your certificates
and transcripts. Please check the admission criteria for different courses.
Include a bank draft, cheque or electronic payment details (receipt) for the AUD
$200 application fee, payable to Lloyds, Sydney, Australia. If your application
is successful, you will receive an Offer Letter, which will explain to you the
follow-up procedures required for enrolment. For international students, on
receipt of the fees, Lloyds will send an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE),
which will allow you to apply for your visa. Students may also apply through
authorised overseas representatives such as Filmo Communications Pte Ltd in
Singapore who will provide assistance in preparing applications, documentation

Entry Requirements A TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS score of 5.5 Certificate level courses
require completion of a School Certificate (equivalent of Year 10 in Australia).
Diploma and Advanced Diploma level courses require completion of High School
Certificate (equivalent of Year 12 in Australia)
Teaching Methodology Learning takes place in
lectures, tutorials, practicals, special projects and hands-on and practical
work experience when appropriate. Internet facilities are available at the
college for research work, and the College library is available for the loan of
textbooks. The college also provides in-house course material.
Assessment Assessment
is done through assignments, projects and final exams. Other assessment methods
may include presentations, research papers, essays, reports, practicals and
observation.
WHAT IS THE IELTS TEST?
The International English Language Testing
Service(IELTS) is a test of English Language Proficiency that assesses your
skills level in reading, writing and speaking. It is internationally recongnised
and administered in over 180 centres worldwide.
WHY SHOULD I DO THE TEST?
The test is used as an indicator of English
language proficiency for entry into universities, TAFE(Technical, And Further
Education) colleges, secondary schools in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K,
Canada and English language medium universities in Asia, for example Singapore.
Therefore if you are planning to go on to further study do the test. IELTS is
also used as a measure of language for immigration purposes.
There are two modules; the Academic Module and
the General Training Module;
** The Academic Module is for candidates who
wish to study at university at an undergraduate or post-graduate level.(Most
universities require an overall score of 6.5) ** The General Training Module
is designed for candidates who wish to go to TAFE, Business College, secondary
school or for immigration purposes.
HOW DO I FOR PREPARE THE
IELTS TEST?
Lloyds International College offers intensive
English language courses of up to 12 weeks to students to help them prepare for
the IELTS test and university study. The IELTS preparation course at Lloyds
International College is a full-time course for students at an
upper-intermediate level who wish to prepare for this international test. The
course is offered throughout the year coinciding with local examinations in
Sydney.
WHAT IS THE CONTENT OF THE COURSE?
The course concentrates is intensively test
focused. It gives practice in test-taking techniques. It incorporates all the
language skills that are tested in the IELTS exam, listening, speaking, reading
and writing. It provides opportunities to practice all the question types in the
test. The course program includes extensive practice in each of the four
sections of the test. Students will complete practice tests in the classroom.
Homework is required.
WHY SHOULD I DO THE COURSE AT LLOYDS COLLEGE?
The course content we offer is organised, planned
and progressive. The teaching staff are experienced and some are IELTS
examiners. The course is value for money and cheaper than others in Sydney. The
learning environment is pleasant, clean light and airy. Students can use other
resources in the college, e.g. the Internet Room.

Diploma of IT (System Administration) Intensive ICA 50199
This 40-week course (over 1 year) provides students
with the same skills for network administration across several types of
operating systems that are offered in the 2-year Diploma course. This is done by
intensively managing student progression and accelerated learning methods. This
course usually costs more than the 2-year Diploma and will involve additional
work in class and students' own time. The Diploma provides additional skills
that can be applied to an increasing number of job opportunities in IT. Students
are expected to attain the necessary competencies at Certificate III and IV
level during this course.
This Diploma is a nationally
recognised qualification under the AQTF. All competencies must be attained for
the award of the qualification. A Certificate of Attainment can be awarded for
any of the competencies attained. Students enrolled in this Diploma, who exit
the course early for any reason without completing all the competencies may be
awarded the Certificate III and IV, if the conditions for those awards are met.
Completion of number 32 ~ 53 modules.
Diploma of Business BSB 50101
Diploma graduates will be able to apply a broad
knowledge in the work place, including a range of theoretical concepts. They
will be able to analyze and develop approaches to technical problems. This
course covers the major components of managing and supporting performance
organization's systems. The competency will be delivered in human resources,
records keeping, strategic management, frontline management and marketing.
Students are expected to have attained the relevant competencies at the
Certificate III and IV level prior to beginning this course. The course is
80-weeks long over a 2-year period. Completion of modules number 1 ~ 44.
