China: 80,000 mostly in construction; electronics; garment manufacturing & hospitality. Salary S$1000 - S$1500 including overtime
India: 100,000 mostly in construction or shipyards; rest are professionals in IT, finance, etc. Salary base of S$500 - S$600, upto S$900 with overtime
Thailand:40,000 of which 36,000 in construction. Salary base S$500 - S$600, can go up to S$1100 with overtime
Indonesia: 100,000 mostly domestic help. Salary S$230-S$500
Philippines: 85,000 of which 70,000 domestic helpers; the rest are professionals in medical, IT or creative sectors. DH salary is S$320-S$350 a month. Skilled workers with S Pass = S$1800 a month. Professionals holding EP = S$2501 a month.
Bangladesh: 40,000 mostly in construction, shipyards. Salary of S$500-S$600, up to S$900 with overtime
Sri Lanka: 14,000 of which 12,00 domestic helpers and 2,000 male workers in hospitals and shipyards. Salary S$220 - S$400 for maids, S$250 to S$600 for others.
