Heritage Academy is a private coeducational school for grades 6-12. It is fully accredited by the South Carolina Independent
School Association. A requirement for admission is the demonstrated pursuit of an extracurricular. the School enroll students from
over 26 countries. The curriculum is designed for students seeking a college preparatory Diploma. Students are required to earn a
minimum of 25 credits in grades 9-12. The academic year is divided into 2 semesters with most students taking 3 courses each semester,
allowing students to complete 6 courses per year. The 1st semester is August - December & the 2nd semester is January - May.
The student faculty ratio is 9:1 Students in grades 5-6 are enrolled in the Intermediate Academy and have daily classes in language arts,
math, science and social sciences in a self contained classroom. Students in grades 7-8 are enrolled in the Junior High Academy
in maths, language arts, science and social sciences. The classroom environment is interactive and student centred. Students graduating
will have attained a minimum of 25 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0
Students who are serious about golf can choose to attend Hank Haney International Junior Golf academy, an affiliate of Heritage Academy.
Hank Haney IJGA is the only Academy in the world with its own school and its own golf tour thus providing the training, the academics
and the competition. Students' afternoons are reserved for academics at the Heritage Academy. After 5pm it's time for golf specific
conditioning before heading back to student housing. Weekends often consist of junior tournaments where student athletics put into
practice what been taught throughout the week.
