About the Course

This is a 4-year Course, with the first year being devoted to the learning of English to prepare students for the IELTS examination which is a requirement for entry into the degree Course.

In the first preparatory year for IELTS students are taught from the Elementary level to the Intermediate level and one month before the examinations, the students will be given continuous mock examinations to trial so that they will be well-prepared to pass the IELTS examinations with at least 6.0 to be allowed to enter University of London.

The tuition fee for this English Language course is S$300 a month payable at least 3 months upfront

The 3-year degree Course will cover the following subjects:

Year 1

· Introduction to Economics
· Statistics 1
· Mathematics 1 or 2
· Introduction to Sociology
· Elements of Accounting and Finance

Year 2

· Introduction to Business and Management
· Managerial Economics
· Management: International and Comparative perspectives
· Organisation Theory

Year 3

· Human Resource Management
· Management Accounting
· Corporate Finance
· Economic Geography

Admission Requirements

Applicants should be at least 17 years old and not older than 30. They must have the pre-requisites of either:

-At least 2 ‘A’ levels and 2 ‘AO’ levels (or equivalent) with IELTS grades of not less than 5.5 for any component of the examination; and an overall average of 6.0. The GCE General Paper taken in Singapore can considered in place of the IELTS

OR

-A Diploma in any discipline taken in a polytechnic or at any recognized Institute at tertiary level.

Prior to acquiring the Diploma, candidate must have obtained a Credit in English Language at ‘O’ level or else the candidate must sit for the IELTS examination to show a score of 6.0.

For foreigners applying to study undergraduate/postgraduate degree courses registered with the Ministry of Education in private colleges in Singapore, Student Passes valid for one year will be issued. If the students maintain a good record, upon renewal, the Student Passes will be extended to be valid for the remaining course duration. For degree & post degree courses Security Bond Deposit is not required; and Applicants from the People’s Republic of China are allowed to submit their applications directly in Singapore, instead of submitting them in China. Basic Documents Required for Student Pass Application (in English)

1. Notarised/Attested Birth Certificate (photocopy)
2. Notarised/Attested Highest Educational Certificates and result Transcript (photocopy)
3. Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs
4. Personal particular pages of applicant's passport (photocopy)
5. Documentary proof of financial ability in the form of bank statements/fixed deposit/saving account (~S$10000.00 or ~RMB150,000.00)

Note:

Approved students are required by ICA to bring along the original copy of Birth Certificate, Highest Educational Certificate, Transcript, Bank Statements etc to complete the formalities of getting the student pass. Failing to produce all required original documents, student pass will not be issued by ICA.
